Es geht um das isländische Trio Vök. Hallende Gitarren und träumerische Hooks mit melancholischem Gesang. Margrét Rán, Andri Már und Einar Hrafn kreieren fantastischen elektronischen Indie-Dream-Pop und haben letztes Jahr ihr vielbeachtetes Debütalbum Figures veröffentlicht. Darauf hat mich vor allem "Breaking Bones" begeistert, das irgendwann einfach nicht mehr aus dem Kopf verschwindet. Das zweite Album In The Dark steht quasi in den Startlöchern und wird am 01.03.2019 erscheinen. Mit "Spend The Love" wurde nach "Night & Day" und "Autpilot" bereits die dritte Single daraus veröffentlicht. Ein tolles, tanzbares Synth-Pop-Stück, mit einer wichtigen Botschaft.

Originally written to be a 'gay' anthem song, "Spend The Love" is our new dance song that tackles the theme of anti-consumerism. There is a humour in it and a hypocrisy. We thought it was ideal to release it prior to the holiday season! Spend your love, not your money!
